Escapeburn SuperTerminal user guide

Last updated: 13 October 2026

From download to your first parallel sessions: what you need, how to set up, and where each feature lives.

What you need

  • A 64-bit Windows 10 (22H2 or newer) or Windows 11 computer.
  • An Escapeburn account with beta access (free; request it at account.escapeburn.com or redeem an invite code).
  • Your own subscription or account for at least one supported CLI: Claude Code (Anthropic), Codex (OpenAI), Grok (xAI) or Antigravity (Google). SuperTerminal uses your existing sign-in; no API keys are needed.
  • Git for Windows, so that parallel sessions can each work in their own git worktree.

Install

Download escapeburnst.exe from escapeburn.com and run it. It installs for your Windows user only, without administrator rights, and starts SuperTerminal. The app is not yet code-signed, so Windows SmartScreen may ask you to confirm (More info → Run anyway). Updates are signed with our release key and verified by the app before they install.

Sign in and choose your language

Sign in with your Escapeburn account when the app asks; your browser opens account.escapeburn.com and returns to the app. The interface language is chosen in the title bar (15 languages); otherwise it follows your Windows language.

Connect your AI CLIs

Use [ ⬇ install CLI ] in the top bar. It runs the provider's official installer in a visible terminal and then opens a terminal for you to sign in with your subscription. Each provider's own terms apply to your use.

Start sessions

Pick the agent, model, effort and folder in the launcher, then press F2. Each tab is the real CLI; type into it directly. F1 lists every shortcut. The permission mode decides whether agents ask before acting: choose it per session, and keep backups, because agents can change and delete files.

  • F2 new terminal · F3 resume · F4 stop
  • F9 view one, two, four or all terminals
  • Ctrl+Shift+F search sessions · F10 quit

Parallel work without conflicts

In a git project every session gets its own worktree and branch, so agents never overwrite each other's files. When a session's work is done, it integrates into your main branch with a rebase and fast-forward; it never forces or discards uncommitted work.

Quotas, history and memory

The sidebar shows your subscriptions' usage windows, refreshed about once a minute. Sessions keep up to 5,000 lines of history and can be resumed. Project memory (AGENTS.md files and .agents/memory) is shared by all agents in a project.

Pixel, voice and Studio

Pixel is the assistant that finds, opens and prompts your sessions, and can talk with you. Voice input runs locally after you download the optional voice pack. Studio edits video with your agents: cuts, captions, color, titles and exports for YouTube, Shorts and podcasts.

Teams, project link and the phone app

The project link lets two SuperTerminals work on one project. Teams connect up to five people who trust each other, share projects and can add a team server. Subscriptions are never shared between people: each member signs in to their own CLI accounts. The Android app brings your sessions and Pixel to your phone over an encrypted link you pair yourself.

Your data and privacy

Projects, terminal output and prompts stay on your computer; the CLIs send your prompts to their providers under your accounts. SETTINGS → Storage shows what the app keeps on disk. Read the Privacy Policy for the limited data that reaches Escapeburn.

Report a problem

Use [ ⚑ Report ] in the title bar to send a bug, problem or suggestion with up to three images. Technical details are shown before sending and can be switched off.

Uninstall

Open Windows Settings → Apps → Installed apps → Escapeburn SuperTerminal → Uninstall. Your history and settings stay in your user profile so a reinstall keeps them; delete them in SETTINGS → Storage before uninstalling if you want them gone.
